Introduction — Why the Right Nail Matters

For UK pallet manufacturers, nail coil selection is one of the most important decisions in your production process. The wrong nail causes boards to split, pallets to fail under load, and nail guns to jam — all of which eat directly into your margins. The right nail coil increases throughput, reduces wastage and produces a pallet that passes inspection every time.

Ring Shank Coil Nails — The UK Pallet Industry Standard

Ring shank nails are by far the most widely used nail type in UK pallet manufacturing. The annular rings along the shank create mechanical interlock with the timber fibres as the nail is driven — dramatically increasing withdrawal resistance compared to smooth shank alternatives.

Screw Shank Coil Nails — Maximum Hold for Dense Timber

Screw shank nails have a helical thread along the shank that provides even higher withdrawal resistance than ring shank. As the nail is driven, the thread effectively screws into the timber fibres — making removal extremely difficult without damage to the wood.

PAVANDEAL supplies both ring shank and screw shank coil nails to UK pallet manufacturers from our Ahmedabad manufacturing facility. Products are available in 200 to 400 nail coils per roll, compatible with all major UK coil nail gun brands.
